Can I have a transfer value as an active member?

No, you must have left the Fund to request this.

I have left the scheme and am looking to transfer, how much can I transfer?

Once you have left the Fund you are able to obtain a transfer value on the My Wiltshire Pension portal. There is also information on the scheme that you might want to provide an IFA.

If you have left the Wiltshire Pension Fund and rejoined another LGPS scheme and are looking to transfer your benefits to this Fund then let your new Fund know and they can start the process with us.

Can I take all my pension as a lump sum?

There are occasions when your pension is very small that you can take your pension as a one-off lump sum. The government has set out the rules and limits for this and we would tend to advise you when you approach your retirement date if you are able to have this option.

If the value of all your pensions in the LGPS is less than £400 a year and you are over 55 then you may be able to apply for this using the Trivial Payment Request Form.
