How do I request an estimate?

The best way to obtain an estimate of what you might receive on retirement is using the tools on your My Wiltshire Pension portal. You are able to vary both your retirement date and exchange pension for additional lump sum to see how this would affect your pension income.

I have AVCs. How do I take these at retirement?

If you have paid Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs) then you will have a number of options on how to use these when it comes to taking your pension at retirement. Our website gives full details on how to use your AVC at retirement.

Can I take all my pension as a lump sum?

There are occasions when your pension is very small that you can take your pension as a one-off lump sum. The government has set out the rules and limits for this and we would tend to advise you when you approach your retirement date if you are able to have this option.

If the value of all your pensions in the LGPS is less than £400 a year and you are over 55 then you may be able to apply for this using the Trivial Payment Request Form.
